Charito Vataga Helgason is a female self taught artist born in Vientiane, Laos to parents of Vietnamese and Filipino descent. She has lived in Hong Kong most of her life and has worked as a musician in the past.

Her nickname is Kim and she started drawing in pastels as youngster and then advanced to painting in 2004.

Recently, figures have played an important role in her work as she searches for fresh ways to demonstrate her innate skills.
